Data we collect

  • Website: Contact form inputs (name, email, company, message, NDA preference), basic server logs and security telemetry.
  • Client onboarding: Engagement contacts and billing details. We deliberately avoid collecting test data unless necessary for the engagement.
  • Reports & evidence: Only what’s needed to demonstrate findings; we redact or pseudonymise where possible.

How we use data & lawful bases

  • Provide & manage engagements (Article 6(1)(b) contract).
  • Keep our services secure (Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests in security and fraud prevention).
  • Reply to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Marketing (Article 6(1)(a) consent; we don’t add you without asking).

Sharing

We don’t sell personal data. We use a small number of processors (e.g. hosting, email). Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Confidential test artefacts are shared only with your authorised recipients under NDA.

Security & retention

  • Encrypted storage, access control, and audit trails for report artefacts.
  • Strict data minimisation; we avoid persistent copies of production data.
  • Default retention: website enquiries — 12 months; proposals — 24 months; test artefacts — purged within 90 days of sign‑off unless contractually required otherwise.
Client option: We can operate in a “no data at rest” mode using customer‑provided vaults, SSO, and project workspaces. Ask us during scoping.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) but we’d welcome the chance to fix issues first.
